Belarus and Russia to jointly launch mass production of a new 19-seat aircraft

It will have a twin-engine configuration

Today at the Innoprom-2023 exhibition, the Chairman of the State Military-Industrial Committee (SMIC) of Belarus, Dmitry Pantus, and the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Oleg Bocharov, signed a comprehensive interdepartmental program for cooperation in the field of aircraft construction. Within the framework of this program, the parties intend to create a twin-engine aircraft.

«Principal agreements have been reached on the joint development and organization of mass production of a twin-engine 19-seat aircraft in the Republic of Belarus. The heads of JSC "Ural Civil Aviation Plant" and JSC "558 Aircraft Repair Plant" have signed an action plan for the implementation of this project», - said the SMIC.

Earlier, UZGA announced its desire to establish the production of a new regional 19-seat aircraft. It was said then that it would receive non-retractable landing gear and VK-800 engines.
