The Institute «NAMI» has bought out the Russian Bosch plant, which produced ABS and ESP systems

The production is promised to be restarted in 2024

As reported by the resource Auto.ru, FSUE «NAMI», controlled by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, concluded a deal to acquire 100% of the company «Robert Bosch Samara». The main asset was a factory in the Samara region for the production of auto components – steering systems as well as ABS and ESP systems. Specifically these ABS units were installed on Lada cars until March 2022, when the enterprise ceased operations against the backdrop of the Ukrainian events.

The enterprise will resume its activity in 2024, at the same time all staff (107 employees) will keep their jobs. Auto.ru notes that since NAMI does not participate in the management of the newly acquired assets, the plant may be transferred to one of the partners for management or ownership. For example, to AvtoVAZ.
