The first customer of the Russian unmanned transport vehicle BAS-200 may be Yakutia

Rostec reported that the BAS-200 unmanned transport vehicle created in the corporation may go to work for its first customer in Yakutia. The UAV was previously tested in the Far North conditions, and it proved its readiness to work in such harsh temperature conditions.

«There are a number of large-scale tasks for unmanned aviation in Yakutia, for the implementation of which we consider BAS-200 to be the optimal solution ... The government of the republic is ready to solve organizational and regulatory issues of drone exploitation, to license this type of aviation activity of regional operators. We are very much looking forward to the integration of BAS-200 systems into the transport infrastructure of Yakutia», – said the first deputy chairman of the government of the Republic of Yakutia, Andrey Fedotov.

The BAS-200 looks like a mini-helicopter without a cockpit. It is equipped with a rotary-piston engine and can carry up to 50 kg of payload. The maximum flight range is up to 400 km, duration is up to 4 hours.
