Rostec has developed a technology that, according to the creators, has no analogues either in Russia or abroad: a unique non-hermetic body temperature regulator for the first Russian radar satellite for Earth surveying "Condor-FKA", allows to increase the resource of the spacecraft fourfold.
The hermetic body of spacecraft over time is destroyed by collisions with space debris, because of this the temperature regime of the equipment is violated, and the satellite fails. The non-hermetic "Condor-FKA" case, manufactured by Tekhnologiya, maintains the temperature necessary for the satellite to operate in non-hermetic conditions.
"On orbit today there are over 70 satellites, in which the products of Rostec are used, and "Condor-FKA" is one of them. When creating its case, a technology was used that has no analogues either in Russia or abroad. The body of the apparatus is not hermetic, which allowed to increase the resource from 3-5 to 10-12 years and create it in record short time - less than three months. In addition, thanks to this technology, the weight of the satellite was significantly reduced, and its internal volumes were increased by 15%", - said the General Director of Tekhnologiya Andrey Silkin.
