Russian Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Vasily Shpak spoke about the volume of civilian drone production in Russia in 2023. According to him, at least 6,000 of these UAVs will be produced.
«According to the information we see, we predict that the production volume of UAS in our country will be at least 6.1 thousand units, including all classes and types, but these figures may be higher», he said.
Interestingly, it will not be possible to compare statistics on civilian UAVs with last year’s statistics – simply because there is no such data for 2022: according to the Deputy Minister, at that time it was not yet so developed and large-scale to keep piece-by-piece statistics. At the same time, Shpak added that the drone creation industry will «definitely» be included in the point system of industrial support in the near future.
