According to Vedomosti, Tinkoff Bank has registered its own university. In the register of organizations, the new company is represented as the "Autonomous Non-Profit Organization of Higher Education \"Central University\".
The rector of the university is Evgeny Vasilyevich Ivashkevich, who is also a member of the board of directors of Tinkoff Insurance and a member of the collegial executive body of Tinkoff Bank. Vedomosti also cites two sources close to the bank, who confirm the work on creating their own university.
Tinkoff Bank has been working with students and schoolchildren for a long time within the framework of Tinkoff Education on the basis of an official educational license. "We are now considering the possibility of using the accumulated technological and IT expertise within the framework of launching a STEM university educational model in Russia. Details of the project will be announced later this summer," added a representative of Tinkoff Bank.
As a reminder, in 2012, Sberbank also launched the corporate SberUniversity, but its license, obtained in 2014, allowed it to carry out only additional professional education programs. In the case of Tinkoff, we are not talking about educational services, but about a full-fledged higher education institution.
