A new space mission to Venus is being discussed at Roscosmos. It is expected that within the framework of the mission "Venus-V", samples of soil and atmosphere will be delivered to Earth from the second planet from the Sun.

The possibility of returning samples of soil, atmosphere, and aerosols from Venus to Earth (mission "Venus-V") is being considered by specialists of the State Corporation Roscosmos and the Russian Academy of Sciences". It was added at Roscosmos that the mission includes launching completely new search and return and landing spacecraftl.

The USSR implemented a comprehensive program for studying Venus, and a Russian program has been developed since 2020. The first mission ("Venus-D") within the framework of the new concept is planned to be carried out after 2030. Interestingly, the super-heavy rocket for the new lunar mission will also not be ready before 2030.
