TASS shared a study conducted as part of a special project with the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center. The project examined the attitude of Russians towards smart home devices. As it turned out, most respondents do not use smart home devices.
«72% of Russians do not use smart home devices, the figure is highest among active TV viewers – 95%. Representatives of the older generation 60+ years (87% do not use), Russians with secondary education and below (85-86%), as well as residents of villages (82%) are also indifferent to modern technologies,» the researchers say. A total of 1.6 thousand Russians took part in the survey.
Among those who still use smart solutions, the robot vacuum cleaner is the most popular, chosen by 58% of smart device users. Next come the smart speaker (44%), Smart TV (12%), smart lighting and smart socket 10%. It is noteworthy that two-thirds of robot vacuum cleaner users are women. Smart speakers are also used by more women than men.
