The SSJ New aircraft will have almost no imported components, serial production of the liner will begin in 2024

In 2024, they plan to release the first six MC-21 aircraft

The head of Rostec, Sergey Chemezov, during a meeting with the chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin, announced that the SSJ New aircraft will practically not have any imported components.

"Speaking about the SSJ New, yes, we are completing the test of the engine PD-8. The aircraft is already with our engine, entirely with our avionics, with our assemblies, and most importantly, with our fuselage. There is almost no imported stuff. We are already finishing the certification. And we will begin mass production in 2024. We will produce 20 new SSJ liners each year", - said Chemezov.

The head of Rostec noted, that the certification of another domestic aircraft – MC-21 - is supposed to finish in 2024. And also plans to release the first six serial aircraft in the same year.
