According to Kommersant, citing Vedomosti, an interactive map displaying drones and related data in real-time is expected to appear in Russia in 2024. It will be similar to Flightradar24. The Almaz-Antey concern and the State Air Traffic Management Corporation (ATM Corporation) are reportedly developing the service. However, it is still unclear how it will all work.
There are two potential foundations for the new service. The first is that the system will operate via the internet and the public switched telephone network (PSTN), functioning on the basis of the ATM Corporation. The second option is to use the RUTM (Russian unmanned aircraft system traffic management) system for monitoring the joint movement of aircraft and drones, which has been under development by the company "Aeronautical Satellite Technologies and Developments in Aviation" (ASTRA) since 2019. In addition to ASTRA, the Research Center "Aeroscript", BTS Data Center, and "Fly Drone" may also be involved in the interactive map project.
2 billion rubles have already been invested in the project. The service is planned to be tested in Chukotka and Yamal with the participation of "Russian Post."
