In Russia, the armored personnel carrier "Typhoon-K" (model K-53949) has been completely import-substituted and is ready to be delivered to foreign customers. If necessary, Russia is even ready to help with the localization of the production of the armored carrier. This was said in "Rosoboroneksport".
"Rosoboroneksport" presents to its partners the armored vehicle of the "Typhoon-K" family, made exclusively from Russian-made components. This vehicle has proved itself as a reliable and highly protected means of transporting personnel. "Typhoon-K" is in service with the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and has already confirmed its characteristics in real operating conditions and combat use, " the general director of "Rosoboroneksport" Alexander Mikheev said.
"Rosoboroneksport" sees significant interest from foreign customers and is ready for interaction in the format of industrial partnership in the production of "Typhoon-K" armored vehicles of various modifications, including production localization. Today, we have a solid portfolio of completed licensed production projects, collaboration within the framework of joint ventures, as well as the creation of infrastructure for technical maintenance and modernization of Russian military equipment in the partners' territories, " he added.
Cars of the "Typhoon-K" line can accelerate up to 100 km/h and ford water obstacles up to 1.5 m deep, as well as climb slopes at an angle of 30°. The vehicles can be equipped with different weapon systems - this all depends on the needs of the customer. As for the K-53949 model itself, it has enhanced anti-mine and ballistic protection. The paratrooper's seats here have a suspended system of attachment to the roof.
