The first "Angara" from the "Vostochny" cosmodrome will be launched at the end of 2023

And it will be delivered to the cosmodrome in September

The first two launches of the heavy-lift rocket launcher "Angara" took place on December 23, 2014 and December 14, 2020 from the Plesetsk cosmodrome, and the third one is scheduled to take place at the end of this year from the "Vostochny" cosmodrome. This was announced by the governor of the Amur region, Vasily Orlov.

"There [at the cosmodrome] the construction of the second launch pad for the "Angara" rocket is being completed today. Construction is going according to schedule, despite all the difficulties associated with sanctions and COVID primarily. "Angara" is to be delivered in the near future, and will be at the cosmodrome in September with a subsequent launch. The launch is planned to take place at the end of 2023", - said the governor.

The launch complex for the "Angara" launch vehicles is part of the second stage of the construction of "Vostochny", which was launched in the summer of 2019. Serial production of "Angara" is planned to start in Russia in 2024.
