The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of the Rostec Group) revealed the updated flight performance characteristics of the export versions of the Su-57E and Su-75 at the Dubai Airshow. In the article by "Perviy Technicheskiy", a comparison of the two combat vehicles that will become the main strike force of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) in the coming years.
A quick glance makes it clear that there are differences in speed, ceiling, maneuverability, and combat load. These parameters determine the niche of each fighter and show how the two projects complement each other in the global market.
Su-57E — Maximum Range and Super-Maneuverability
The export Su-57E remains the most "long-range" Russian fifth-generation fighter. At low altitude, it reaches 1350 km/h, and at echelon — Mach 2. The practical ceiling is 18,800 m, autonomy is 10 hours, which gives the machine advantages in long-duration operations. The flight range without refueling is 2800 km, with one refueling — 5200 km. The maximum overload is 8 g at subsonic speed and 6 g at supersonic speed.
The Su-57E carries 7500 kg of combat load and uses 6 internal and 12 common suspension points. For the export version, some parameters are traditionally limited, but the basic architecture remains.
Characteristics of Su-57E:
- Maximum speed at low altitude — 1 350 km/h
- Maximum speed at altitude — Mach 2.0
- Practical ceiling — 18 800 m
- Autonomy — 10 hours
- Maximum take-off weight — 34 000 kg
- Maximum combat load — 7 500 kg
Su-75 — Focus on Price, Stealth, and Maneuverability
The single-engine Su-75 occupies a different niche. It is inferior in ceiling (from 15,000 to 16,500 m), but retains a comparable maximum speed — 1.8–2 Mach at altitude and 1300 km/h near the ground.
The most important difference is a stable turn of 7–7.5 g at a speed of 0.8 Mach and an altitude of 1000 m, which makes the aircraft more affordable but still highly maneuverable.
Maximum range — 2800–2900 km, take-off weight — 26 000 kg, combat load — 6000–7400 kg. The Su-75 receives 5 internal / 13 common suspension points — almost at the level of the older "brother".
Characteristics of Su-75:
- Maximum speed at low altitude — 1 300 km/h
- Maximum speed at altitude — 1.8-2.0 Mach
- Practical ceiling — 15 000-16500 m
- Maximum range at maximum Mach value — 2 800-2 900 km
- Maximum take-off weight — 26 000 kg
- Maximum combat load — 6 000-7 400 kg
Different Tasks — One Market
It can be concluded that the Su-57E is aimed at countries that need strategic range, autonomy, and maximum thrust. The Su-75 is designed for buyers who choose a balance of cost, stealth, and strike capabilities.
The two projects form a single segment — a heavy fifth-generation fighter and its lighter, but still high-tech partner.
