The Belarusian company "KB Radar" has developed the R-936 "Aero" radio monitoring and radio suppression system for VHF communication to combat multi-rotor and glider-type drones. This was reported by the press service of the State Military-Industrial Committee of Belarus.
R-936 "Aero" is capable of creating misleading interference for receivers of satellite navigation systems. In addition to its main functions, the system is equipped with a radar station to detect UAVs flying in radio silence mode.
Characteristics of the "Aero" system:
- Range — 100 - 6000 MHz
- UAV detection and direction finding — up to 50 km
- UAV radio suppression — up to 40 km
- Autonomous operation
- Integration with the "Voronovo" system under the control of the "Berezina" command post
The system suppresses data transmission lines, onboard equipment of satellite navigation systems GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou.
R-936 "Aero" recognizes control and data transmission protocols, identifies drones of the DJI family, determines their current coordinates and the coordinates of the take-off point.
