Russian military personnel are actively using the "Lancet" loitering munition from ZALA Aero, as it effectively destroys Western equipment, including British Mastiff armored vehicles, American M777 howitzers, and Abrams tanks. Currently, it is the most promising means of destruction, according to military expert Yuri Knutov.
To date, there are no weapons against the "Lancet".
Developers are constantly improving the loitering munition: increasing the accuracy of engagement, introducing artificial intelligence, the expert added.
Denis Fedutinov, editor of the "Unmanned Aviation" publication, agrees with Knutov. In his opinion, the ZALA Aero project has been extremely successful. With the help of "Lancet", hundreds of pieces of enemy equipment have been destroyed, "the cost of which is an order of magnitude higher than the cost of using the munition."
The company itself has made a major leap in development over the past 20 years, "when drones were not a mainstream direction," Fedutinov noted.
Thanks to the professional flair of the company's specialists, their interest and enthusiasm, as well as technical innovations and active marketing, ZALA has taken one of the leading positions in the domestic unmanned systems industry.
The "Lancet" has been modernized taking into account combat experience. The loitering munition received new communication channels to continue operating even in the enemy's electronic warfare zone. The introduction of AI allows it to recognize targets and deliver precise strikes.
