This notice explains how personal data of visitors located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland is processed when they use www1.ru (https://www1.ru). It applies together with our https://www1.ru/doc/cookie-policy-eu.html. Visitors from other countries are covered by the notice published for their region.
1. Controller and contact
The controller responsible for the processing described here is iHolding KZ LLP, BIN 230340032085, 80 Bogenbay Batyr Street, Medeu District, Almaty 050010, Republic of Kazakhstan. Phone: +7 903 762-53-37. E-mail for privacy requests: mp@www1.ru.
Requests about your personal data (see section 8) can be sent directly to the e-mail address above; visitors from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland can contact us in English.
2. Data we process
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device characteristics, language, pages visited, referring page, date and time of the request, technical logs.
- Identifiers stored on your device: cookies and similar identifiers (localStorage). Our own analytics identifier and Yandex Metrica identifiers are set without prior consent; Google Analytics and advertising identifiers - only where you have consented, see section 3.
- Your consent choices: the IAB TCF consent string and Google Additional Consent string created by our consent tool.
- Account and content data: if you register, comment or contact us - the name or nickname, e-mail address, profile settings and the content you submit.
We do not ask for special categories of personal data and do not use precise geolocation. We determine only your country, from the IP address.
3. Purposes and legal bases
| Purpose | Legal basis (Art. 6(1) GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Delivering the website, security, prevention of abuse and fraud, debugging | legitimate interests (f); strictly necessary storage on your device does not require consent |
| Account, comments and other features you request | performance of a contract (b) |
| Storing and reading information on your device for Google Analytics and advertising (IAB TCF Purpose 1) | consent (a) |
| Selecting basic, non-personalised advertising using limited data (Purpose 2) | legitimate interests (f) |
| Creating and using advertising profiles for personalised ads (Purposes 3 and 4) | consent (a) |
| Measuring advertising performance (Purpose 7) | legitimate interests (f) |
| Measuring content performance and audience statistics with our own first-party analytics and Yandex Metrica, including pseudonymous identifiers stored on your device | legitimate interests (f) |
| Keeping records of visits and user actions (IP address, pseudonymous identifier) to protect the website against abuse and to meet record-keeping requirements of the laws applicable to us | legitimate interests (f) |
| Measuring content performance with Google Analytics (Purposes 8 and 9) | consent (a); without consent - cookieless signals only |
| Developing and improving our services (Purpose 10) | legitimate interests (f) |
| Selecting content using limited data (Purpose 11) | legitimate interests (f) |
| Compliance with legal obligations and handling your requests | legal obligation (c) |
We do not create content-personalisation profiles (Purposes 5 and 6) and do not use precise geolocation.
How this works in practice:
- our own first-party analytics records page views and actions with a pseudonymous identifier (cookie
__eventn_id) and the full IP address for every visitor, regardless of the choice in the consent tool. The data is stored on our own servers and is not disclosed to third parties except where required by law; - Yandex Metrica is loaded for every visitor and acts as our processor (section 5); it sets its own cookies (
_ym*). You can block it with the "Yandex Metrica opt-out" browser add-on; - until you consent to Purpose 1, and if you refuse, Google Analytics receives only cookieless signals (Google Consent Mode "denied");
- advertising is shown in any case: Google and the ad partners listed in section 5 receive your choice from the consent tool and serve personalised, non-personalised or limited ads accordingly.
After you consent to Purpose 1, Google Analytics and the advertising partners may store identifiers on your device according to your choices.
Legitimate interests: operating a free, advertising-funded publication and understanding how it is used. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests at any time in the consent settings (link "Privacy settings" at the bottom of every page) or by writing to us.
4. Consent management
Consent is collected by Google's consent management platform (Google Privacy & messaging), registered under the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework v2.2. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the "Privacy settings" link at the bottom of every page. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it and applies to Google Analytics and advertising from the next page you open. It does not delete cookies already stored in your browser (you can delete them in your browser settings, see the Cookie Notice) and does not affect our own analytics and Yandex Metrica, which do not rely on consent (section 3).
5. Recipients
We share personal data only as far as necessary with:
-
our service providers acting on our behalf (processors): hosting and infrastructure in the Netherlands, e-mail delivery, our own analytics platform;
-
Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC: Google Analytics 4 (for visitors from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the data is sent directly to Google), Google Ad Manager and the consent tool;
-
Yandex: Yandex Metrica, which for visitors from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland acts as our processor under its Data Processing Agreement concluded with Air Smart Advertising Solutions FZ-LLC (Dubai, UAE). You can also block Yandex Metrica with the "Yandex Metrica opt-out" browser add-on (https://yandex.com/support/metrica/general/opt-out.html);
-
advertising partners, each acting as an independent controller under its own policy and only on the legal bases shown in the consent tool:
-
Google (Google Ad Manager, Google Ad Exchange and the bidders Google adds to its consent message automatically)
-
Yandex / AdFox (Google Additional Consent provider 1033, "Yango")
-
Between Exchange (IAB TCF vendor 724)
-
VK / myTarget (Google Additional Consent provider 1067, "Mail.ru")
-
Buzzoola (Google Additional Consent provider 3112)
-
Programmatic Ecosystem LLC / Mediasniper (Google Additional Consent provider 3136)
-
Sape (Google Additional Consent provider 2643)
-
Videonow (header bidding; not registered in the IAB TCF or Google Additional Consent, see below)
The complete, current list of vendors with their purposes is shown in the consent tool ("Privacy settings", then "Vendors"). Advertising partners receive your choices as the IAB TCF consent string and the Google Additional Consent string and decide on that basis whether and how to process your data. A partner that is not registered in the IAB TCF or Google Additional Consent (currently Videonow) cannot receive your consent through these signals, so the consent you give in the consent tool does not cover it. Other header-bidding partners of Yandex AdFox are not called for visitors from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland.
We may also disclose data to public authorities where required by applicable law.
6. International transfers
Our web servers that serve visitors from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are located in the Netherlands. Personal data may also be accessed or processed outside the EEA: in the Republic of Kazakhstan (controller), the Russian Federation (our own analytics platform), the United Arab Emirates (Yandex Metrica processor) and the United States (Google). Where the destination does not have an adequacy decision, transfers rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission (and the UK Addendum / Swiss amendments where applicable) or on another safeguard under Art. 46 GDPR. A copy of the safeguards can be requested at the contact address in section 1.
7. Retention
- Server and security logs: up to 30 days.
- Consent choices: stored by the consent tool for up to 13 months, after which you are asked again.
- Analytics identifiers: Google Analytics cookies up to 2 years, Yandex Metrica cookies up to 1 year, our own analytics identifier up to 5 years.
- Account data and your content: while the account exists or until you ask us to delete it, unless longer storage is required by law.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR, the UK GDPR and the Swiss FADP you have the right to access your data, to rectify it, to have it erased, to restrict processing, to data portability, to object to processing based on legitimate interests (including profiling) and to withdraw consent at any time. Send requests to the contact address in section 1; we answer within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of your country of residence or work.
9. Children
The website is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data on the basis of consent.
10. Changes
We update this notice when our services, partners or legal requirements change. The date of the last update is shown at the top.
