The agency is demanding 957.2 million rubles from the shipyard. According to the SPARK system, the lawsuit is classified as an economic dispute under civil law (in this case, disagreements between economic entities are related to breach of obligations, for example, disruption of delivery times, provision of services).

Severnaya Verf is a leading domestic enterprise in the construction of surface warships. The shipyard is part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (OSK). Fontanka contacted OSK for clarification, but the corporation declined to comment.

St. Petersburg shipbuilders are building a series of ships for the Russian Ministry of Defence, including Project 22350 frigates and Project 20385 corvettes. In May 2026, the Severnaya Verf laid down the frigate Admiral Flota Gromov for the Russian Navy.
