I really want a convertible, but it won't be this year. I think it's possible.

However, to launch convertible production, another step is needed – first, the lineup must be supplemented by a sedan. According to the head of Moskvich, the plant is considering this option and plans to try to expand the model range with a sedan next year.

What Moskvich produces today

Currently, the plant's model range is divided into two parts. The basis consists of localized versions of Chinese JAC cars: Moskvich 3 and Moskvich 8 crossovers, Moskvich 6 liftback, and the Moskvich 3e electric car.

The second is the new 'M' line, sales of which started in March 2026. It includes two crossovers, already built on MG platforms: the five-seater Moskvich M70 and the flagship seven-seater Moskvich M90.

The M70 is offered with a 1.5-liter turbo engine with 150 hp and a seven-speed 'robot' or with a 2.0-liter engine with 200 hp and a nine-speed automatic. The M90 is equipped with a non-alternative combination of a two-liter turbo engine, automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive. By the end of September, the number of owners of 'M' line cars exceeded one thousand people.

Thus, a convertible is in the plans, but for now – in the distant future and after the appearance of a sedan.
