Rostec shipped the first batch of serial robotic fire extinguishing systems ANT-1000PM to a Russian fuel company. The machines allow directing fire extinguishing agents to the source of ignition while firefighters remain at a distance from the dangerous zone: the operator can control the robot from a distance of up to 1 km.
The ANT-1000PM is built on the basis of the Russian ANT-1000 mini-loader. Instead of standard working equipment, the machine received a remotely controlled fire monitor capable of delivering fire extinguishing agents up to 60 m away and up to 35 m above the ground. The complex is designed to operate in conditions where rescuers approaching the fire involves a risk to life.
The operator controls the machine using a system of external video cameras and sensors. Remote control allows sending the robotic platform to ignition sources at industrial facilities without exposing personnel to direct danger.
The ANT-1000PM is not the only specialized machine based on the ANT loader. The High Precision Systems holding also produces the MGR-4 Shmel humanitarian demining machine. In addition, the electric ANT-1000E is designed for municipal work, including at night: its reduced noise level allows it to be used in residential areas with less disturbance to residents.
The shipment of the first production batch means the ANT-1000PM is transitioning from demonstrating capabilities to customer deliveries. However, Rostec did not specify the number of machines transferred and did not name the fuel company that will receive them.
