Production included obtaining castings and machining according to individual technical documentation

Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant (KMZ) has manufactured a second set of propeller shaft brackets for a regular customer. According to the enterprise, the compliance of the products with the requirements of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping has been confirmed by a set of RS certificates.

Production included two main stages: obtaining metal castings and subsequent machining. The first stage involves forming the blank for the future part, and the second stage involves bringing its geometry and surfaces to the dimensions specified in the design documentation.

Propeller shaft brackets are part of the ship's propeller-rudder complex. They support the shaft in a given position, ensuring its correct placement relative to the hull and propeller. The accuracy of manufacturing these elements affects the operation of the propulsion complex.

In July 2026, KMZ already reported the completion of work on the second set and certification. The new message clarifies the order status: the enterprise states the manufacture of products and the availability of certificates.
