Rosel Holding (part of Rostec) has completed the construction of the Kraskino border crossing on the Russian-Chinese border in Primorsky Krai. The facility's throughput reaches 750 vehicles per day.
The work took two and a half years. During this time, about 70 facilities were built, 16 lanes for vehicle processing were equipped, and more than 100 units of special equipment were installed. The project was implemented by Roselektronika (part of Rosel Holding).
The decision to expand the infrastructure was made against the backdrop of growing cargo turnover between Russia and China. The head of the Ministry of Transport, Andrey Nikitin, noted that in the first five months alone, trade with China increased by a quarter. According to him, as part of the program for modernizing checkpoints, Kraskino is being introduced after the Pogranichny border crossing, and Zabaikalsk, the largest checkpoint on the border with China, is in an active phase of reconstruction.
Technical equipment
Portal inspection and screening complexes (IDK) ST-2630P manufactured by Scantronik Systems (Toriy Group of Companies of Rostec) will be installed in the cargo direction. The equipment will allow inspecting more than 120 vehicles per hour without opening containers. The complex 'sees' through steel up to 320 mm thick.
Rostec noted that Scantronik Systems specialists for the first time combined a portal IDK with a weight and size control system. This solution made it possible to optimize the development area, increase throughput, and improve logistics at the checkpoint.
