"Zemledeliye" received a new caliber: one salvo covers both infantry and tanks

The warhead can now be loaded with a combination of anti-personnel and anti-tank mines, and the range has significantly increased

The Russian remote mining system "Zemledeliye" has received a new ammunition caliber — and this changes not only the range but also the very tactics of its use. This was reported by "Zvezda" on October 5.

Previously, the warhead was equipped with either anti-personnel or anti-tank mines. Now they can be combined in one salvo. One system creates a minefield that stops both infantry and armored vehicles at once.

"Zemledeliye" has ceased to be a highly specialized machine for one type of mine. Now it is a universal tool that addresses two types of threats with a single deployment. The new caliber has significantly increased the deployment range — the complex operates beyond the line of combat contact, without entering the enemy's engagement zone.

The "Zemledeliye" system includes a combat vehicle on a high-capacity wheeled chassis with an 8x8 wheel arrangement, a transport-loading vehicle, and transport-launch containers with engineering ammunition, equipped with various types of mines.
