Up to 30 million rubles for a missed cyberattack: Solar launches new protection service

The company is the first in Russia to enshrine SOC financial liability for a missed incident directly in the contract

If specialists miss a cyberattack, and the client company incurs real confirmed damage because of it, Solar promises to compensate for losses — up to a maximum of 30 million rubles. This condition appeared in the new JSOC One service for medium-sized businesses, regional organizations, branches, and contractors of large companies.

Compensation applies to incidents that were within the service's monitoring zone. The company will pay the money directly, without an insurance organization. Solar claims that for the first time in Russia, they have enshrined such financial liability of SOC directly in the contract with the client.

The service itself is designed to replace companies' own 24/7 cyber threat monitoring center. Specialists monitor computers, servers, and other infrastructure elements 24 hours a day, and promise to respond to critical incidents within no more than 30 minutes. Connection takes from one day.

The reason for this format is the lack of people and money for their own cybersecurity. According to Solar's research, 60% of medium-sized businesses cite the shortage of information security specialists as the main problem, and 80% of them monitor threats only during working hours on weekdays. At the same time, three-quarters are ready to outsource attack response to an external center.

The price of such protection starts from 3 million rubles per year. For comparison, study participants estimated the average damage from data encryption at more than 7.5 million rubles. Demand for external security services is growing rapidly: in 2025, Solar JSOC received 2.3 times more requests for monitoring and response than the year before.
