High-speed excursion catamaran "Sirius Alpha" launched for sea trials in Samara

The vessel of project 04790 "Sommers L" was built at the facilities of ZAO "Nefteflot"

The passenger catamaran "Sirius Alpha" of project 04790 "Sommers L" entered the waters of the Samara River for sea trials. This was reported by the press service of ZAO "Nefteflot".

The vessel is being built by order of GTLK within the framework of the state program of preferential leasing of civil water transport vessels.

Nefteflot emphasized that all stages of the catamaran's construction, including the development of design documentation and the procurement of components, were carried out in accordance with Government Decree No. 719 "On Confirmation of Production of Russian Industrial Products".

The project of the excursion vessel was developed by KB "Forss Technologies". The catamaran is designed for operation on inland waterways and in marine coastal areas.

Characteristics of project 04790 "Sommers L" vessels:

  • Side height — 3 m
  • Draft — 1.7 m
  • Main engine power — 2x405 kW
  • Speed — 10 knots
  • Passenger capacity — 300 people.

Two catamarans of project 04790 "Sommers L" were laid down at the facilities of ZAO "Nefteflot" in Samara in September 2024. "Sirius Alpha" was launched in June 2026.
