An engineer from Chuvashia, Anatoly Akimov, developed a compact motor-hiller that can be additionally weighted directly during operation. The product is designed for soil loosening, furrowing, and hilling potatoes.
The structure weighs only 55 kg with dimensions of 1360×380×796 mm. Above the drive wheel, the developer placed a toolbox, which can also be used for ballast. Additional weight increases the wheel's grip on the ground when working on heavy soil.
The drive wheel itself received a metal rim 100–150 mm wide with lugs. Thanks to the increased width, it should dig less into soft ground.
The frame is also unusually designed; it was assembled from 2 rectangular tubes positioned at an angle of 125 degrees. The drive wheel holder is tilted by 18 degrees, and the handle attachment by 34 degrees relative to the horizontal.
The motor-hiller is equipped with a gasoline internal combustion engine, a two-stage chain reducer, and a double-moldboard share. A separate tensioner is provided for the chain.
