Four robotic sprayers have been launched in the Polosa farm in the Suleyman-Stalsky district of Dagestan. They treat fruit plantations, the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture and Food reported.
Robots work in super-intensive orchards, including on plots with significant slopes. The tracked chassis allows the machines to move between rows and treat trees on difficult terrain. The route and turning points are set in the program in advance. The operator monitors the work remotely and, if necessary, changes the course or spraying settings.
Robotic sprayers reduce the share of manual labor and dependence on seasonal workers. Treatments are carried out strictly within optimal agrotechnical terms. Preparations are applied evenly, without overuse. People do not directly contact plant protection products, and on difficult terrain, the tracked platform provides reliable cross-country ability — all under remote operator control.
