In Russia, the "Sviper" curtain platform based on "Gazelle NN" was released. This was reported to "Pervy Tekhnichesky" by the press service of "Rustrak".
"Sviper" is designed for quick loading and unloading. The main difference from a standard Europlatform is the absence of sides, slings, and tension straps. The driver no longer needs to spend time fixing and removing them: the side curtain opens with one hand in 3 seconds, the manufacturer claims.
For several months, "Rustrak" conducted closed tests of the "Sviper" platform in cooperation with the largest transport and logistics companies in Russia. The results showed that the new design allows a 6-fold reduction in loading and unloading operations compared to a standard curtain platform.
Key design features
The platform received two sliding guides along which the curtain moves. The side part opens with one hand in 3 seconds. There are no sides, slings, or tension straps in the design — there is no need to manually secure the cargo. The front wall is reinforced and equipped with a rigging rail for additional fixation. Galvanized posts, resistant to corrosion, are installed around the perimeter.
"Sviper" opens a new line of "Rustrak" engineering solutions, developed taking into account the needs of the freight market. According to the company, the mechanism is undergoing patenting procedures at FIPS.
