Russian cosmonaut Sergey Teteryatnikov will depart for the International Space Station (ISS) on October 1 as part of the Crew-13 mission. This was announced by the Roscosmos press service.
Teteryatnikov will fly to orbit aboard the Crew Dragon spacecraft. Also on board will be NASA astronauts Jessica Watkins and Luke Delaney, and Canadian Space Agency (CSA) astronaut Joshua Coutrick.
The launch of the Falcon 9 launch vehicle with Crew Dragon is scheduled for 18:10 (Moscow time). It will be launched from Cape Canaveral (Florida, where the US Space Force base is located).
The Crew-13 crew is already in quarantine, and is expected to arrive at the launch site at the Kennedy Space Center on September 26.
Roscosmos and NASA signed an agreement on cross-flights in July 2022. The first Russian cosmonaut to travel to the ISS on Crew Dragon was Anna Kikina. On October 5, 2022, she flew to the station as part of the Crew-5 mission.
