In its new configuration, the Russian "Paseka" complex gained the ability to cover an object from FPV drones along its entire perimeter. According to the developer, four modules with net launchers provide 360-degree protection, and the system automatically detects and intercepts drones without operator involvement.
The "Paseka" complex is being developed by the Scientific and Production Center "Ushkuynik". According to the company's CEO, Alexey Chadayev, the new configuration uses four blocks, each equipped with 12 net launchers. The entire system has 48 launch devices.
When an FPV drone approaches, it should be recognized by a neural network. When the drone comes within 20 meters, the complex automatically activates and launches a 4x4 meter net towards it. These characteristics are provided by the developer himself.
A regular net is used for interception. After firing, the net cartridge can be replaced in a few seconds, Chadayev said.
Developers consider "Paseka" not only as a means of protecting stationary objects. The complex is also proposed for use in covering equipment and ground robots, which, according to the head of the Scientific and Production Center "Ushkuynik", remain vulnerable to FPV drone attacks.
The developer announced the new configuration of the complex in September. At the same time, according to Chadayev, tests were conducted, which, it is claimed, confirmed the stated characteristics of the system.
