Users in Russia have encountered problems with the App Store. According to the "Sboy.rf" service, 474 people complained about malfunctions, compared to 21 the day before. The peak of complaints occurred at 09:15 Moscow time – 72 complaints. Most reports came from Moscow – 31%.
When trying to open the app store, some users see the message "Cannot connect". Downdetector also did not record mass complaints – 87 reports per day, two in the last hour.
Geography of complaints: 10% from Novosibirsk Oblast, 8% each from Chelyabinsk Oblast, 7% each from Khabarovsk Krai and Kuzbass, 6% each from Perm Krai and Tatarstan. In some cases, VPN helped solve the problem. Roskomnadzor told RBC that it does not restrict access to the App Store.
Earlier, Russians had already complained about the unavailability of the store on July 19 and 20 – then messages also came in waves. Failures are localized: for some users, the service works normally, for others – it does not. This creates uncertainty for iPhone owners who rely on the App Store to install applications.
