On September 19, the outer side of the Garden Ring in Moscow will turn into a route for a multi-thousand motorcycle column for several hours – cars will not be able to move along it from noon. The restrictions will be introduced due to the Moscow Motorcycle Festival, which will conclude the 2026 motorcycle season. This was reported by Moscow's city transport services.
The start of the motorcycle rally is scheduled for 12:00 from Academician Sakharov Avenue, and the finish is approximately 20 minutes later at the same location. The column will pass along the outer side of the entire Garden Ring, and car traffic will be restored as it progresses. As a result, Moscow's central thoroughfare will temporarily change its owner: instead of the usual flow of cars, a single column of motorcycles will pass along the ring.
Strict restrictions will begin even before the start of the race. From 00:01 to 20:00 on September 19, sections of Academician Sakharov Avenue and Masha Poryvaeva Street will be closed, and from 12:00, the outer side of the Garden Ring will be closed. In addition, on September 18 from 15:00 to midnight and on September 19 from 20:00 to 23:59, traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction on Academician Sakharov Avenue.
The scale of the motorcycle movement in the capital has significantly increased: by the end of 2025, more than 126 thousand motorcyclists were registered in Moscow, which is 17% more than in 2024. Thousands of participants are expected at the festival itself. At the same time, the city will introduce additional parking restrictions from September 16 to 19, and during the column's passage, individual access roads to the Atrium shopping and entertainment complex, Paveletskaya Plaza shopping center, Smolensky Passage shopping center, Gorky Park, Muzeon, and other facilities will be closed. The Moscow Department of Transport recommends using the subway for trips to the center.
