The "Paseka" anti-drone complex will be able to protect not only military equipment and ground robots from drones, but also freight trucks on public roads. This was stated by Alexey Chadayev, head of the SPC "Ushkuynik".
The complex intercepts approaching drones with nylon nets, so it does not use explosives to hit the target. "Paseka" is equipped with 12 mortars, each of which fires a 4x4 meter net at a distance of 10 to 30 meters. According to Chadayev, this principle allows for quick cartridge changes and prepares the system for subsequent use.
An artificial intelligence system is responsible for target detection. The complex itself can operate on 5V batteries, which are sufficient to power two to four cameras. For full operation at night, a thermal imager connection will be required.
The developers are considering installing "Paseka" on various carriers - from military equipment and ground robotic systems to trucks. Chadayev noted that the absence of explosives in the ammunition makes the system suitable not only for military use. At the same time, the cost of net charges, according to him, is significantly lower than the price of interceptor drones and missiles, which can make this method of protection more accessible.
