The government has included anti-drone guns in the list of service and civilian weapons, special means for providing employees of federal postal service organizations (Russian Post). A document with the corresponding amendments appeared on the official legal acts publication website.
It supplements the Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 38 of January 26, 2005. The list was supplemented with "special technical means for countering unmanned aerial, underwater and surface vessels and apparatuses, unmanned vehicles and other automated unmanned systems".
Weapons and other protective equipment are issued for guarding the branch, escorting cash and other cargo. The resolution also specifies the consumption of cartridges for weapon inspection, training firing, and control firing.
It is stated that postal employees have the right to receive Izh-71, P-96S, MP-71 pistols, RSL-1 revolver, portable short-barreled carbine PKSK. They are also allowed to use stun guns and wear bulletproof vests.
