According to the Telegram channel "Voenny Osvedomitel" (Military Informant), by early 2026, the number of Su-34s built for the Russian Aerospace Forces reached 212 aircraft. However, in May, the American publication MWM cited a figure of around 130 machines.
The main intrigue arises here: a difference of approximately 82 aircraft requires a separate explanation. One estimate includes all built aircraft, while the other reflects the number of aircraft accounted for in the Russian Aerospace Forces. The discrepancy may be influenced by the technical condition of the aircraft, repairs and modernization, training operations, and other factors. Therefore, the two figures provide different perspectives on the scale of the Su-34 fleet.
Over the past two years, the production of serial Su-34s has increased by 34 units: 16 aircraft were delivered in 2024, and the remaining 18 in 2025. The regularity of deliveries is confirmed by reports from the United Aircraft Corporation on the transfer of new batches of bombers.
Earlier, it was reported that the Su-34 fighter-bomber could be equipped with new strategic weapons. In particular, the possibility of installing the Kh-101 missile on it is being considered, which would significantly expand its long-range strike capabilities.
