The main oil pipeline of the Vostok Oil project (Vankor – Payakha – Bukhta Sever), 790 km long, has been put into operation in the Krasnoyarsk Krai. Russian President Vladimir Putin took part in the ceremony via video conference.
The first oil has flowed through it to the Arctic Ocean, to the new terminal of the Bukhta Sever port for loading into a tanker.

Igor Sechin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the oil and gas company, stated that in the future, Vostok Oil could supply up to 100 million tons of oil per year to the market. In the second half of 2027, 30 million tons of oil will be shipped to consumers, and by 2030 – up to 50 million tons.
Investments in the project amounted to 4 trillion rubles, and the lifecycle of the fields and pipeline is designed for 100 years. In case of additional geological exploration, it can be extended, Sechin added.
Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, who oversees fuel and energy complex issues, stated that Vostok Oil's oil will go "in the western direction" and to countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
Oil workers have already drilled more than 2,000 wells. The project's resource base is 7 billion tons of oil.
