There is currently no successful electronic warfare system against Russian jet drones "Geran-5" with mesh modems. Military expert Alexey Leonkov explained the principles behind the system.
He explained that mesh modems create a single seamless Wi-Fi network from several devices. Thanks to them, UAVs flying in a swarm "share" the internet with each other, can change course, see the target, and hit it accurately.
So far, there are no interceptor drones against our jet "Gerans". When they appear and how effective they will be is unclear.
The mesh system is gradually being adopted by other attack drones, including "Molniya". This simultaneously increases the effective communication range and maintains the channel even under the influence of electronic warfare systems.
Analysts from "Voennaya Khronika" noted that the "Geran-5" factory in the Alabuga special economic zone continues to expand. New assembly buildings and warehouses have already been observed there.
The total production potential of "Geran-5" drones in Russia was estimated at approximately 5 thousand units per month.
