UAZ has received vehicle type approval for the updated "Patriot X". The SUV has been certified with a gasoline version with a six-speed manual gearbox. Serial production of the car is expected to start this autumn.
The design of the "Patriot X" will be different. The SUV will receive new LED optics. Updates will also affect the interior, among the notable changes is a new steering wheel with a magnesium frame of Russian production.
But the main novelty awaits under the hood. A new 2.0-liter diesel engine with 136 hp will appear in the lineup. It, like the gasoline engine, will be combined with a six-speed manual gearbox.
The updated "Patriot" will not have an automatic transmission at launch. Earlier, UAZ head Ilnur Sakhabiev reported that the restyled model could receive an automatic transmission by 2028. Serial production of the "Patriot X" is expected to begin in autumn 2026.
