The "Courier" ground robot destroyed the heavy "Baba Yaga" hexacopter for the first time – the machine with a PKT machine gun was remotely operated by an operator with the call sign Eugene.
The ground tracked platform opened fire on the heavy drone in the dark. To hit the target, the "Courier" used a combat module with a PKT machine gun. After several bursts, the hexacopter was shot down. The robot was used as part of a mobile fire group of the 14th Separate Special Purpose Brigade.
After hitting the target, the soldiers mounted the shot-down hexacopter on the "Courier". The episode itself is remarkable because the ground robotic platform acted not as a transport or engineering vehicle, but as a remotely controlled fire system against an aerial drone.
Earlier it was reported that Russian servicemen developed an amphibious robot based on the "Courier" ground robotic complex for cargo delivery. Buoys were installed on the platform, propellers were added for rowing, and the control system was refined for stability on water.
