Mobile Drone Headquarters: UAV Control Point on Wheels Invented at Volgograd Ministry of Internal Affairs Academy

A two-axle trailer with switching equipment and a large screen can operate autonomously in the field

The Volgograd Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia has developed a mobile control point for unmanned systems. The device is based on a two-axle wheeled trailer and is designed for autonomous operation in remote conditions for maintaining public order and conducting search and rescue operations.

External lights are installed on the sides of the trailer in the upper part of the body. In the middle part of the body are switching cabinets – they are protected by thermal casings and locked. Inside the cabinets are a voltage stabilizer, a router with Wi-Fi, and a voltage converter. A computer and a large screen for displaying images are also installed there – it is directed outwards.

As noted in the patent, the control point can be used to coordinate the actions of units using drones in the field. The development allows for the rapid deployment of a control center at the scene without being tied to stationary infrastructure.
