On the evening of August 29, the Lukoil and Teboil applications disappeared from the App Store for Apple devices. They cannot be re-downloaded now, and the reasons for their removal have not yet been disclosed. Lukoil has already offered users an alternative way to use the loyalty program through a personal account on the website.
Those who still have the application on their smartphone are advised not to delete it and to disable automatic offloading of rarely used programs. Bonus points can be accrued and redeemed via a QR code in the personal account.
If the application has not been installed previously, it is still possible to register in the loyalty program and receive points by phone number directly at the gas station cashier.
The removal occurred shortly after a significant update to the Lukoil application: a few days prior, it had once again begun displaying fuel availability and current prices at gas stations.
Before disappearing from the store, the application also allowed users to pay for fuel, store a virtual loyalty card, build routes to gas stations, and select stations by fuel type, payment methods, and available services.
