The BAZ S32A50 dump truck has been sent for three months of pilot industrial operation at the Doroninskoye deposit in the Magadan region, where the machine will be directly involved in gold mining. The equipment was handed over to "Pacific Tractor" company, which specializes in renting heavy machinery for northern enterprises.
The Kolyma deposit will be another test for the BAZ S32A50 in real production conditions. At the Doroninskoye site, the dump truck will have to transport goods along technological roads without hard surfacing, work on difficult terrain, and withstand a prolonged cold season. In the northern regions of the Magadan region, temperatures in winter can drop to −50 °C and below.
In September, a second BAZ S32A50 will be sent to another facility in the region. It will operate at a gold mining company's mine in the Srednekansky urban district.
The BAZ S32A50 is produced in St. Petersburg at the JSC "Romanov" enterprise. The declared localization exceeds 90%, and the main part of the components consists of Russian and Belarusian components.
The dump truck is built on a three-axle chassis with permanent all-wheel drive 6×6. All three axles received independent spring suspension, which allows the wheels to maintain contact with an uneven surface and distributes the load up to 12 tons per axle.
