The Zhukov Military Academy of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation has patented an electrified barrier that can be remotely installed using a projectile load. The device is designed for rapid organization of protective barriers at protected facilities and in combat conditions.
The barrier consists of a high-voltage unit, cables, a launcher, and supports. The launcher uses compressed gas or a pyrotechnic charge to eject a load with grooves for gripping the ground — this allows the linear part of the barrier to be secured at a significant distance.
The design is equipped with two electrical connectors: one connects the cable to the barrier, the other allows recharging the high-voltage unit's battery from an external source or connecting field communications. This makes the system autonomous and flexible in use.
The development accelerates the deployment of protection, reduces risk to personnel, and can be used in any conditions. The device can be used for border protection, industrial facilities, and in conflict zones. Field tests are planned for the near future.
