By 2030, 50% of processes in construction and housing and communal services will be based on artificial intelligence algorithms, said Deputy Head of the Ministry of Construction Konstantin Mikhailik at the "Cities of the Future" forum in Perm. His words are quoted by RBC. According to the official, every second action in the industry will involve AI models.
The first stage is scheduled for 2027: two basic systems must be implemented – for construction management and utility infrastructure management. They will become the platform for assembling modules, Mikhailik explained. If the plans are confirmed, a standard solution for both directions will appear by April next year. The Deputy Minister added that by 2029, decision-making mechanisms in construction will change radically.
The industry faces a big leap. Currently, the innovativeness of Russian developers is estimated at only 51% – this is the first public index for 33 development companies. The introduction of AI should transfer construction and housing and communal services to a platform model, where digital services unite participants and reduce costs. The main risk is the real readiness of regions and developers for mass digitalization in such a short time.
