The Bonum plant has unveiled a new four-axle semi-trailer container chassis for transporting tank containers with liquid chemical and other dangerous goods.
The new product has a payload capacity of 47 tons and an unladen weight of approximately 5.85 tons. The design is adapted for operation in difficult road conditions and reinforced for working with heavy containers. The semi-trailer is equipped with disc brakes and a pneumatic dual-circuit braking system with ABS.
The frame is a welded structure consisting of two longitudinal members and transverse connecting elements. Two kingpin positions are provided for adaptation to different fifth wheels. Two beams with Twist Lock mechanisms are used to secure containers. The landing gear, kingpin, and axles (SAF) are manufactured by leading global brands.
The vehicle is equipped with a lifting mechanism for the first and fourth axles, which reduces tire wear and fuel consumption when driving without cargo. The wheel base consists of 8 tires of size 385/65 R22.5. Electrical equipment is from Aspoeck, Hella, or Ermax. The package includes individual fenders, wheel chocks, a toolbox, and contour reflective marking. The semi-trailer is designed for transporting containers of types 1×20’, 2×20’, 1×40’, and 1×40’ (HQ).
