The Russian crew of the International Space Station, who arrived at the ISS on July 14, will perform 42 scientific experiments, Roscosmos reported. Among the new ones is "Scatterometer-L" for monitoring the Earth's sea surface by measuring the scattering of electromagnetic waves. Cosmonauts help scientists conduct experiments that require space conditions.
The program of the 75th long-duration expedition includes four new experiments: "Gas Analyzer-FS" for testing an element of the gas environment support system, "Teledroid" with a humanoid robot-avatar, "Test-Pelican-resource" for testing laser systems, and "Scatterometer-L". Most of the other works are long-term studies, such as "Endothelium" and "Forced Expiration", which help specialists to thoroughly study the effect of space flights on the human body.
Currently, Pyotr Dubrov, Anna Kikina, and Andrey Fedyaev are performing experiments in the Russian segment; later, Sergey Teteryatnikov from the Crew-13 crew will continue them. Experiments on ocean monitoring and laser system development expand the applied value of orbital research, and medical experiments help find new approaches to treating diseases on Earth.
