The Aviation Register of Russia has started the certification procedure for three helicopter-type unmanned aerial vehicles developed by the companies "Ekolibri" and "KB Rus". All equipment is intended for aviation work in agriculture, the maximum operational flight altitude is limited to 10 meters.
The company "Ekolibri" has submitted the multirotor UAV R-135 for certification. The aircraft is designed for transporting cargo weighing up to 35 kg and performing aerial chemical work. The maximum take-off weight of the aircraft is 190 kg.
"KB Rus" is certifying two single-engine helicopters at once: R-2200 "Bekas" and R-3700 "Perevozchik". Both are designed according to the classic scheme - with one main rotor and one tail rotor. The maximum take-off weight of "Bekas" is 495 kg, and "Perevozchik" is 550 kg. The R-3700 is designed to carry cargo up to 200 kg, and the R-2200 - up to 145 kg. Both models can be used for aerial photography and aerial chemical work.
Due to the flight altitude limitation, the developers chose a simplified declarative certification method. The application for the R-3700 was the first submitted through the FGIS "Aviasert" system.
