The Russian government has approved a list of 24 particularly significant projects in the digital economy. Their total cost will be 14.4 billion rubles, with funding coming from the companies' own resources. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Digital Development.
Where the money will go
Most projects are in the transport sector — 12 initiatives with a total value of 11.66 billion rubles. In industry and trade, eight projects worth 2.38 billion rubles will be implemented. Another three initiatives in communications and media are estimated at 281.2 million rubles, and one project for the agro-industrial complex is valued at 54.1 million rubles.
In industry, systems for managing production processes, documentation, and procurement are planned for implementation. For transport, digital solutions for aviation, airports, railways, and logistics, including artificial intelligence technologies, will be developed. In the communications sector, domestic tools for managing network infrastructure will appear. For the agro-industrial complex, the “Digital Poultry Farm” project based on MES systems is envisioned.

Among the anchor customers of the projects are Severstal, Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works, AK Alrosa, NZPP Vostok, Aeroflot, Sheremetyevo International Airport, Russian Railways, Avtodor Group of Companies, UK Global Ports, ER-Telecom Holding, Penzamolinvest.
It is expected that the projects will help expand the use of Russian software and reduce the dependence of key industries on foreign technologies.
