The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation has included the first Russian 3D scanner, RangeVision Helix, in the unified register of domestic radio-electronic products. The device was added to the list of industrial products with confirmed Russian production.
The scanner's developer and manufacturer is RangeVision, a technology partner of the Rosatom State Corporation in the field of additive technologies.
The device is designed for non-contact digitization of objects, allowing for high-precision reading of shape, dimensions, and surface features to create a detailed three-dimensional model.
The scanner can be used for reverse engineering, restoring lost design documentation, controlling product geometry, detecting deformations, and comparing finished parts with CAD models.
The use of 3D scanners for reverse engineering is developing in Russia not only in the nuclear sector: LETI scientists in St. Petersburg used non-contact scanning to reproduce complex foreign-made parts.
