The capitalization of the first Russian stablecoin A7A5, pegged to the ruble at a 1:1 ratio, reached $577 million by the end of June 2026. This is the largest indicator among all non-dollar stablecoins in the world.
In parallel, new rules for digital assets are being formed in Russia. In early August, Vladimir Putin signed the law "On Digital Currency and Digital Rights," which updates the regulation of the industry.
Foreign stablecoins will be regulated according to the same principles as other cryptocurrencies. For the Russian market, this means a transition from isolated experiments to a more understandable legal system.
Against this backdrop, A7A5 gains two advantages: practical application as a digital instrument pegged to the ruble, and a clearer legislative framework for further development.
