On the UAZ website, the SGR name has disappeared from the list of models. It previously designated UAZ-452, UAZ-3741, and other vehicles of the family. Now, all of them are called "Bukhanka".
SGR stands for "Old Cargo Range". The company has already started the official registration process for the "Bukhanka" trademark: after completing the procedures at Rospatent, the name will appear in the agency's database. Since July 31, the name has already been present in most branded materials.
Applications for trademark registration, including "UAZ Bukhanka" - in Cyrillic and Latin (UAZ Bukhanka), were submitted by the plant back in April.
Serial production of the UAZ-452 began in 1965, and its predecessor, the UAZ-450, in 1958. In almost 60 years, the car has practically not changed externally, but it has become a legend.
